All 15 Bernie Dems who ran for office won yesterday in my area

My Bernie Sanders campaign office morphed into a Progressives of Kane County (Illinois) group which has met every month since the office closed.

We decided to take one of Bernie's core messages to heart and get progressive Independents, Democrats, and Democratic Socialist Berners elected. We researched which incumbents were vulnerable, which offices had never had Democrats run before (Batavia City Clerk), which seats had a chronic vacancy (a local library trustee) etc.

We found 15 seats and 15 people and went running! The past two weeks have been a blizzard of canvassing, placing signs, education, and outreach.

We WON every seat including all of the Elgin Township Trustee seats which are now Democratic - a board that's been Republican since Lincoln! We pooled our meager resources and did all of this on $500.

We can do this folks. We're meeting next month and are already turning our sights to 2018. Bernie's right - these might be small starts but most importantly, we have to just start.
