Related: About this forumI too would like to thank the Hillary Clinton group
I would like to thank you for helping to illuminate the disgusting crevices of the Democratic Party that need to be cleansed. We will part ways in November, when many of us will no longer be willing to swallow the Establishment's party unity crap after all of the dirty tricks. We will throw the likes of DWS out of office. We will make the DNC reflect the true face of our party. You can go where you belong, and help Marco Rubio reshape the damaged Republican Party brand.
I would like to thank you for identifying who among us is truly Democrat in name only. Our candidate may well have been an Independent for most of his career, and yet he is proudly picking up the torch previously carried by FDR, JFK and Johnson. Your candidate is proudly picking up the torch previously carried by Nixon and Dubya.
I would like to thank you for really helping our righteous candidate and his loyal supporters feel proud and ever more passionate with every skulking, craven, desperate, unsubstantial and pathetic attack your candidate and her blind, sheepish, petty and vindictive supporters have waged.
Yes, Hillary Clinton and her groupies are an inspiration. You are an inspiration for retaking the Democratic Party for those whom seek transformative change without resorting to Republican tactics. Go to hell.

(39 posts)I'm frustrated that Clinton and her supporters have so mindlessly torn our large tent to shreds, and am not prepared to help them mend it following the GE. I'll vote for whomever the Democratic nominee is, but the corruption they willfully embrace is nothing I ever wish to associate myself with. And you are correct that I'm unlike the man I support (nobody should be "worshipping" anybody). I'll leave the graceful, dignified, guarded statesmanship to Senator Sanders. I'm his supporter, and I'm fucking pissed off.

(62,325 posts)for Congress this year to replace the Dinos we helped put there, sadly. One of them is challenging DWS and is well on his way to getting his funding from the people, same as Bernie. The old 'but who are you going to vote for' bullying challenge, is no longer relevant.
191 Bernie Democrats. Real Democrats, all on the same page as Bernie and his millions of supporter! The political revolution is well on its way and I for one, am psyched and forever grateful to Sanders for making all these fantastic candidates
You're going to find that the old 'so you want Repubs to win' lie, isn't going to work anymore. New talking points will be needed but unless they are RELEVANT to anything, they will be a waste of time.

(11,366 posts)A plurality of voters belong to neither party. And Millennials - the future - don't care much about party politics, either.
If the Democratic Party nominates a lack-luster candidate with a history of scandal and who is under investigation, the party will lose.
Yes, Clinton is very popular in segments of the party, mainly with the establishment. Nearly half of the rank and file don't much care for her, either, because she's to their right.
How do these people think she's going to win with, maybe, 20 percent of Democratic voters, a piddly number of Independents and virtually no Millennials pulling for her?
sabrina 1
(62,325 posts)have grabbed power make them. Dems have had the WH for eight years, Repubs may be demanding it's 'our turn'.
Hillary and all Repub candidates are part of that system. The only one who is not, is Bernie
Dems are now down to just 30% of registered voter. Half of them will not vote for Hillary from what I can see. She has zero cross over appeal. So the only conclusion has to be the Powerful are rooting for Repubs, though would be happy with her if she managed to win

(39 posts)I wasn't even aware there was a Bernie group with Hillary people banned at the time I posted to chide them for running an echo chamber. (39 posts)The probability that we'll be forced to bring ourselves to vote for her in the GE in the face of President Trump is a depressing daily thought that I have. Rewarding that pathological liar any kind of prize, even just the nomination let alone the presidency, sticks in my craw. If we weren't facing naked fascism with Trump or a theocracy under Cruz, I might be tempted to write in Bernie's name. Not that she's equipped to beat any Republican, but I couldn't live with myself knowing that I didn't attempt to prevent the ascent of American Nazism or American Taliban.

(39 posts)It was a perfectly legitimate response to a group that wants to pretend it's "cutting through the BS". I felt it necessary to tell them exactly what I thought of their pretense that we're the group subsisting on BS. They deserve it.
TTUBatfan2008
(3,623 posts)I was Juror #2 and voted to leave it alone. I will say that I've voted to hide a couple of anti-Hillary posts in recent days. I think the Bernie people should be allowed to say what they want to say in the Bernie group, just as I have seen very harsh anti-Bernie and anti-Bernie supporter stuff posted in the Hillary group that was not hidden.
On Mon Feb 22, 2016, 03:04 PM an alert was sent on the following post:
I too would like to thank the Hillary Clinton group
http://www.democraticunderground.com/1280123955
REASON FOR ALERT
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.
ALERTER'S COMMENTS
Calling other DU'ers disgusting is over the top, if this isn't disruptive meta I don't know what it. Guaranteed the hosts won't lock it so why waste the SOP alert, let's start to hide this divisive crap from either campaigns supporters.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Mon Feb 22, 2016, 03:13 PM, and the Jury voted 3-4 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Discuss the issues, don't alert. No hide.
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Seriously Clinton people? Stick to your group and quit trying to censor criticism of your candidate in the Sanders group.
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: I'm a Bernie supporter and I agree with the alerter. Beyond the pale. I recently, to my regret, decided not to hide another anti-Hillary supporters post that did deserve it, in a moment of partisan weakness, but I'm going to regain my neutrality and hide posts that deserve it in either direction. And this one deserves it. It shouldn't even BE in the Bernie group as well, it has nothing to do with Bernie.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I think a poster should be permitted an opinion in their protected group.
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: The phrase "disgusting crevices of the Democratic Party that need to be cleansed" is indeed over the top. I understand the "Underground" part of the site, but this post ignores the "Democratic" part and treats the party as an adversary.
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

(39 posts)I was simply telling them that they're an echo chamber, and suggesting they be open to discuss things with the other side. All those examples that you mentioned, for me too is a huge problem. The though of getting into another war led by the neocons is depressing. And of the two, she would be the one to do it, to show how tough she is.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
