Judge repeats gun rights slogan during sentencing for illegal buys

This guy Randa is a Squat Wanker's crony who tried to kill the investigation into his corruption including ordering that all evidence be destroyed. Also a gun nut.

In giving probation with no jail time to a Milwaukee man charged with 55 counts of buying firearms with fake identification and dealing them without a license, a federal judge delivered a message:

"People kill people," U.S. District Rudolph Randa said, echoing a common gun rights slogan. "Guns don't kill people."

Dontray Mills, 24, purchased a total of 27 firearms, mostly handguns, between December 2012 and April 2014 and pleaded guilty to one of the charges on April 22, 2014, after an ATF investigation. As a result of the conviction, Mills will never again be able to buy firearms legally.

On Wednesday, he was sentenced. As part of the plea bargain, prosecutors agreed with the one year of probation.

2. In Canada this is a 1 to 3 year stint in a federal penitentiary, minimum sentence. No probation.

Per count, subject to mercy reduction. This guy would be looking at 5 years, at least.

What sensible, common sense gun control looks like in real law:

possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition
95. (1) Subject to subsection (3), every person commits an offence who, in any place, possesses a loaded prohibited firearm or restricted firearm, or an unloaded prohibited firearm or restricted firearm together with readily accessible ammunition that is capable of being discharged in the firearm, unless the person is the holder of

(a) an authorization or a licence under which the person may possess the firearm in that place; and
(b) the registration certificate for the firearm.

Punishment
(2) Every person who commits an offence under subsection (1)

(a) is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 10 years and to a minimum punishment of imprisonment for a term of
(i) in the case of a first offence, three years, and
(ii) in the case of a second or subsequent offence, five years; or
(b) is guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year.

3. That's funny. I didn't notice any loopholes in that law. No exceptions for

being just a good ole boy or anything. Not like the laws here.

Gotta' fill out a federal form for purchase and do a NICS check but pass or fail the NICS check has to be destroyed in 24 hours.

Didn't pass the check but in three days the store may proceed.

States must report prohibited persons to NICS unless they're busy or something.

Loopholes big enough to hold an NRA convention.

4. Getting a gun in Canada is harder and more painful than a root canal while passing a kidney stone...as it should be.

The folks in America hand-wringing over what the laws of gun controlwould look like are foolishly and blindly and maybe purposely ignoring, actual real laws in real countries with the same real guns....and look...no government tyranny, no mass fear by police or police, and no paranoia over any of it.

Don't reinvent the wheel when there is a fine looking in service wheel right on top of America's geographical noggin.

P.S. The gun control and regulation laws, criminal and civil, are a comprehensive scheme, the quoted single paragraph of the federal Criminal Code of Canada is within an entire section devoted to firearms, and scattered through out the Code are increases sentencing penalties for any criminal use of a firearm.

All backed up by extensive research and closely monitored statistically....like civilized nations do everywhere with designed weapons, always concentrating on by far most lethal common weapon of them all.
