Alerting on trolls and voting to hide disruptive posts helps MIRT a great deal, since they can't act on anything unless they see it. Thanks for helping out!

Don't know how helpful I am if after 2 years I didn't even know how to contact MIRT. You guys do a great job. Never saw so many "name auto removed" before. And so quickly.

It's this one subject that so many are so hurt about and so many others are just oblivious.

5. I just finished a term on MIRT, can only serve two in a row

But I've done it several times and it really is an eye opening experience. Between disruptors, trolls, bigots, right wingers, zombies and spammers, it's amazing how many we attract and, thanks to MIRT, how few ever get past the door. MIRT is terrific at keeping up with new joins, but can't see everything unless somebody alerts, a jury hides a post or someone points out a problem, so don't ever hesitate. MIRT is always grateful for the help...

You should put that on a resume, "zombie fighter"

It is amazing. And every single post I have had that deals with race, but one, you guys have gotten rid of some nasty thing almost before there's time to see what it was. Awesome job!

Between the midterms and current explosive issues. And what we call a "zombie" here on DU is someone who's been banned, but somehow manages to come back. That's not supposed to happen but it does.

11. I got hit by one troll today

I reported it and was amazed how fast MIRT wiped him out. It was fun laughing at the troll, as it just made him more angry, to the point of saying some nasty racist things. I should have made a copy of it, but MIRT took him out within seconds.

12. I'll bet that's who replied to a post I wrote about blacks being disproportionately arrested, etc.

And how it was an environmental, and not innate, phenomenon.

MIRT works fast. I enjoyed it but the number of PMs coming in was too much and there's no function for sorting by sender or subject so that you can clear out the unwanted messages.
