What's the Pop up Survey all about?

It clearly said " Democratic Underground Survey"
I took the survey but it wanted me to enter information like do I have a band acct.
That did not sound like DU at all.

They said I "won a price."

I am a Star member so I thought I would not get messages about a CAR INSURABCE -- that I did not complete.

If the Admins wanted to ask the members anything they have Announcements, Meta, GD, etc. And they send mail when they have one, too. I am glad you did not complete the form. I think it was a scam, although someone else may know better. My browser is set to not allow pop-ups or ads no matter where I go unless I allow it on case by case basis. And some of those would put a virus on a computer, install mal-ware, etc.
