(95,012 posts)Seriously, why did you post it? To convince Clinton voters of the ertor of their ways? To make Sanders voters feel more virtuous?
I'll observe that your patron isn't campaigning on this point or anything like it.

(24,411 posts)She picked Robert Kagan, one of the PNAC/neocon founders to be a policy adviser when she was SOS.
Who in the hell does that?
How dare she bring this filth into our party and make warmongering a Democratic pastime.
She's got a storied history of pro-war stances: Voting for the Iraq war, while knowing that the neocons had asked her husband for the same Iraq war when he was President. In fact, her "policy adviser" Robert Kagan, was one of the signatories on the 1998 letter to Bill Clinton that begged him to go to war with Iraq.
She knew this was a war of opportunity for the warmongering neocons, and she served as a cheerleader for it.
She also banged the war drums for intervention in Iran, when Bush tried to warm up the American public to war with Iran.
She was for arming the Syrian rebels.
She spearheaded the destabilization of Libya, which is now a failed, violent state. This is precisely the neocon blueprint. Remove or kill Middle East leaders, destabilize the area and leave it vulnerable. Pillage the resources and control the region.
The neocons spell out the countries on their wish list, in their "Rebuilding America's Defenses" manifesto. They want Iraq, Iran, Syria and Libya. Look how much progress they've made with Hillary's help.
Sick of Democrats who apologize or deny this. Sick of neocon scum being in our Democratic party. This is not what the Democratic party is about. It's sick. Her cozy relationship with Kissinger and Kagan are reminders of who she is.

I used to say all Americans share the blood but after years on the peace line, time contacting elected officials and speaking out for peace I refuse to accept as much responsibility as someone who continues to support a hawk without doing any work to promote peace. We all have blood on our hands...for sure.

(37,364 posts)You just made an excuse for not acknowledging that Sanders has more than his share of blood on his hands. He provided some of the winds beneath the gun manufacturers wings. He was their boy. Those guns make it into wars and are used in the commission of any number of crimes or suicides here and abroad...all for profit. That's okay. I understand. Because Sanders is associated with it, those actions or inactions are absolved. Everyone else is responsible.

(251 posts)with big smiles on their faces. In fact, they all have very somber expressions on their faces.
And the picture with Jimmy Carter is probably where Kissinger is persuading Carter to let his (Kissinger's) old friend, the Shah of Iran, into the United States. Carter agreed, and the result of that decision was that Iranian militants overran the US Embassy in Tehran and held Americans hostage there for more than a year.
baldguy
(36,649 posts)Can't you just admit that it's small-minded and petty to try this guilt-by-association shit? Just because someone meeting doesn't immediately try to rip his head off & drive a wooden stake through his heart DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY MEAN that they agree with every one of his policy decisions. Democrats are supposed to be better than that.
HoneychildMooseMoss
(251 posts)Kissinger was responsible for helping to expand the war in Indochina. He had a hand in the coup that killed Salvador Allende in Chile in 1973. He also had a hand in Operation Condor in South America that led to the disappearance of thousands of Argentinians and others at the hands of right-wing dictators that he supported.
Hillary has praised Kissinger as a mentor. And her policies as Secretary of State reflected those of Kissinger-- "regime change" in Honduras instead of Chile, regime change in Libya that has led to turmoil in that country, hawkish response for regime change in Syria.

Former President Bush has spoken at length about his close ties to former President Bill Clinton, at times calling him his "brother from another mother."
CNN's Candy Crowley asked Bush during an interview published Friday where that leaves Hillary Clinton: "My sister-in-law!" the president responded light-heartedly
It's sick! She's not to be trusted. EVER.
