The sad fact is, as other people have commented, there is still plenty of racism and hatred in this country.

The real issue is the Koch Brothers and their fellow plutocrats. They have plenty of money to spend, and they're playing a long game! They're investing big in think tanks like Americans for Prosperity and the Cato Foundation, which promote a neoconservative, plutocratic agenda.

They're also spending to influence the higher education of young Americans for generations; their endowments to universities come with the quid pro quo that said universities have to hire conservative professors.

Bill Moyers was right: This is the Fight of Our Lives.
