(4,551 posts)1. Other polling data from Florida
Florida voters on who gives better speeches: Obama 58, Romney 32...could be one reason for no convention bounce
36% in FL have favorable opinion of Eastwood speech, 41% unfavorable. But overall favorability still 72/11. Didn't hurt his image too much
33% in FL said convention made them more likely to vote GOP, 33% less likely to vote GOP, 34% no difference either way

These numbers coincided with the other early evidence over the last few days showing basically no bounce for Romney. This is suppose to be the high point of the Romney campaign. In the last 3 weeks he has picked his VP and held a convention. And he still trails in FL?
Even Mondale was beating Reagan at this point of the campaign.

We polled on every primetime speaker at the RNC and the one with the worst favorability numbers is...Mitt Romney
Full Florida Presidential/convention poll will be up between 10:30 and 11

When the polls close on the west coast it's going to be called for Obama.
Sorry again Hawaii.

(3,696 posts)8. Obama Lead Understated No Doubt as Internals Show Him Only Getting 80% of AA Vote to 19% for Romney
Romney is polling worse than I thought he would with Whites in the State. No bounce in Florida probably means no bounce anywhere.
