Political writing contest during campaign 2012 - $5k grand prize

Greetings,

I have been a member of Democratic Underground since 2008, and I would like to take this opportunity to let members of this forum know about a political writing contest that will be paying out more than $15,000 between now and November. The grand prize is $5,000, the runner-up will receive $1,000, and there will be four $250 prizes given out each month up to the election.

This month, we are looking for articles from 400 to 1,000 words on the following topic:
What do you think of the job Barack Obama has done as president, and do you think he deserves re-election? Why or why not?

Rather than take up more time here, I will just refer you to the American Pundit website at http://www.allvoices.com/election2012 and the report below, which will tell you more about the contest. We want opinions from all points of view: Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, Greens, independents and more. Please spread the word if the spirit moves you, and may the best pundit win!
