How would you like to see the debates handled?

I would like to see no outside money in campaigns. No commercials.

I'd like about 10 debates, with each side having a group of immediate fact checkers checking each others statements on the truthiness meter. Then, the other side can come back with the facts. This would be followed by each side until all of the truth is out and a subject is completely covered before moving on to the next question. No time limit, no moving on until all party's agree the horse is dead, and each sides position is well defined.

This would be part of public service tv. They would get paid for hosting the program but no million dollar 30 sec commercials.

What would you like to see change in the debates?

they'd probably shock obama too in the name of balance for some unintentional misstatement, like saying "millions" instead of "billions" that he didn't correct "fast enough"...

The first participant to "Pull A Palin", refuse to actually debate and simply spout lies, spin and talking points, automatically loses and is immediately forced to shut up, sit down and listen to the other rake him over the coals.

the part of the moderator. You call a candidate on his/her BS and don't let the candidate get away without answering the question. Candidate ABC you said ____________ on this date and ______________ at this function explain yourself type of thing. The purpose of the style that the fictional newsroom came up with was to hold candidates responsible for their idiotic statements and lies. The moderator would keep coming back at a candidate.

Of course we will never see that type debate.

Hello

This may sound stupid at first but I think we have the technology to do it.

A long time ago there was a movie called "earth 2" it was about a colony on the moon or on a space station orbiting earth and they were debating what to do about their nukes.

They had a debate between the pro and con guys but whenever one of them talked there was a scroll below them that pointed out when their comment was a lie, factual, misleading or an emotional appeal.

Would it not be great if all of our debates had something like that then we could see who really is able stay on task.

I am convinced that if Americans were told the truth they would know how to vote. As it is, our media has become nothing more than talking heads reading propaganda.

given real facts, Americans can make the right decisions.

that Obama was just waiting for Shit Romney to get his stupid ass officially nominated.

I think Obama is going to hit him hard on it now. There is probably enough in there to send him to prison. I think it will remain an issue. How can you stash your wealth that you made here, in foreign accts, to avoid paying taxes, then work your tax forms through enough loops to make you one of the lowest tax rate payers living, and expect to be the POTUS?

You can't. You just can't. He's unAmerican.

I usually like irony but not in this case.

I'm trying not to become enraged because that means they have succeeded in making me unhappy. And I'll be damned if I'm going to let those bastards take away the quality of my life.

We just have to keep on keeping on. And we will.

Be crystal clear then the vast difference between those 2 people.

I trust President Obama would meet-up face to face, no handlers anytime and he should make multiple offers, start with this weekend.

Romney would never even suggest that kind of uncontrolled format and he would have to accept some of the offers or look like he's afraid.

Play offense, no more defense of propaganda/lies. Americans deserve to see how Romney stands on his own 2 feet.

Failing that, I would like to see a debate without a moderator.

If that isn't possible I would like to see the League of Women Voters use one of their own members as the moderator or just pick one at random off the street.
