Diligent Facebook Truth Squad

I've noticed a sharp drop of nauseating pro-Romney posts and pics in my newsfeed, but they're still there. I try to always comment on the pictures themselves, most often originating from some right-wing fan page, and more often than not you can click on the picture and leave a comment for others who see it circulating.

The best way to find these quickly is to type "Obama" or "Romney" or "Paul Ryan" in the search box. When it gives you a drop-down of likely results, click "See all results" at the bottom, and then click on "Public Posts". You can see what people are talking about in real-time.

Every time you see some a BS propaganda pic, click on the pic and leave the relevant Polifact link in the comments that shows the truth-o-meter

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/

The more people counteract these lying memes, the more quickly they stop going around. I haven't seen an "Obama trying to restrict the military vote in Ohio" for about a week now, because it got called out as a lie often enough in the comments people quit circulating it.

Please consider taking a little bit of time each day to set the record straight on Facebook.

Thanks for reading

to view or comment on it in some cases. The Mitt Romney page being one in particular.

As of now, Mitt Romney has about half as many likes as "Hello Kitty".

I wondered why I wasn't getting much back up on Pres. Obama's page one day, but I quickly realized it's because they were all busy on Romney's page. It's quite a nasty scene on there!

Here's a good link to use for the comments on Paul Ryan VP's latest post entitled: "PAUL RYAN: WE WON'T PLAY POLITICS WITH OUR MILITARY"
