2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumSome background information that might be useful for some here who are on the fence BS vs HC
Lots of info has been posted about HC and her past positions and political positions. Here are two links about some early years (2006) and recent BS positions. There is a lot in these articles to find admirable about Bernie and a few things that should clarify the reasons behind his recent positions. Bernie is the "real deal" but for 2016 is he the "right deal?"

(502 posts)Jewish Heritage: Bernie is Jewish, but he does not favor Israel over the Palestinians, nor does he otherwise let his religion influence his positions regarding the conflict.
Two-State Solution: Bernie believes that Israel and the Palestinians can, and should, peacefully co-exist, and that Palestinians should have a country of their own.
On Netanyahu & Iran: Bernie is not a big supporter of Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and believes that diplomacy, not military action or economic sanctions, can keep Israel safe from Iran.

You would just need to look at the devolution of the primary threads as an example.
There are pluses and minuses for both candidates, with the primary concern of getting a Democrat in office.
Sit back, watch, enjoy, but most importantly... remain objective. Pretend you are in an Honors Poli-Sci class.
There are, from casual observation, about a dozen or so members stoking half of the divisive threads. There seems to be little to no objectivity on any of them--just "I'm right, and I'm going to prove it!" posts. Your post is refreshing, because it introduces new sources, sources which should be cross-referenced, because subtle syntax and writer biases affect all written work, even if the writer tries to remain objective. Most works pass through an editing board before final print authority is granted.
