Related: About this forumGraphing candidate excitement and interest on DU: O'Malley vs Hillary vs Sanders
Just a little something I whipped up special for y'all...
I went through the O'Malley, Hillary and Sanders groups and compiled data on the number of overall recs and views each group's posts received over a period from July 12 to Oct 10 (I was unable to go that far back in the Sanders group due to the number of posts in that group).
Here are the results:

(32,886 posts)the dip over the last few weeks in posts and recs about Sanders is interesting.

(71,265 posts)... i have heard that may not be a great site to measure these things.

(11,945 posts)It's kind of interesting the way Hillary supporters focused so closely on how Sanders is doing as they chortle about his being a mere annoyance on the Queen's journey to inevitable coronation.

It's not surprising that among people who know his stump speech, and know his positions there isn't a lot of posting.
If that's fatigue, then that's fatigue
What isn't shown is the over-under of the favorability of what is posted. And the net favorability is an opinion that counts when trying to secure uncommitted segments of the base.

(130,902 posts)Wonder why I bother posting about Governor O'Malley in his group? So do I, sometimes, but I think it's my RESPONSIBILITY to inform DUers about him, even though it appears that many just don't care about FACTS.

(45,251 posts)I think you do a fantastic job for your candidate.
Obviously, Sanders is my preference. Otherwise, I'd be in your group. He's a good candidate. Luckily, O'Malley is still young enough to run again.

(45,251 posts)IMO, a ticket needs to be more balanced that two white men from east coast. I think Castro may have been given a federal post to enhance his viability as a VP pick for Hillary; and that would be a balanced ticket. New York/Texas; WASP female/Hispanic Catholic male, older/younger (flip of Obama Biden on that score). It would also put Castro in line to be the first Democratic Hispanic Presidential candidate. IMO, that is an almost ideal balance. Obviously not, however, my personal ideal ticket.
If Sanders is the nominee, I would like to see him choose a populist Democratic female, ideally (in my mind) one of color, and ideally from a state that might be considered the opposite of Vermont. And, very ideally (again, for me), high ranking military who also considers war a VERY last resort.
Luckily for the world, though, I don't have a say in the matter.

(8,574 posts)I've said it before, but you set us all an example with your positive posts about O'M. We'd be a much nicer place if everyone took your approach! I look forward to seeing O'M in the debates.

(11,945 posts)He has a lot going for him. A good two years ago I was noticing him on the Sunday shows and hoping he'd challenge the Entitled One. If Bernie hadn't come along, I could easily be in his camp. If for some reason one of the current front runners drops out, he will shoot up in the polls.
Also, DU is not the United States, not even a good representation. And I know you are a very accomplished communicator (far more so than I) but it does hone one's skills to post here (within reason) and also one's knowledge (also within reason) to read what others are saying.
So please don't be discouraged.

I'm GLAD DU is not the United States! Thanks for the reminder! I feel better now!

(11,175 posts)I think it's too bad that some Clinton supporters are so defensive that they immediately activate their Clinton-will-win app.
Your very headline says that the graphs are about what's happening "on DU"; there's no reason for people to respond as if you'd predicted a Sanders nomination on this basis.
If this thread were music, they'd be the sour notes.
