Ebeling, Ann Romney-owned dressage horse won't be in top 18
By: Associated Press
UPDATED: Aug 7, 7:15a ET
LONDON (AP) Rafalca the horse returned to the Olympic spotlight Tuesday for her second round of competition in equestrian team dressage, likely the final time in the Greenwich Park ring for Stephen Colbert's favorite horse.
Ridden by Jan Ebeling, Rafalca scored 69.317 after a round of 70.243 last Thursday. The pair were 30th entering the day and needed to be in the top 18 to advance to Thursday's individual dressage final.
The 15-year-old, German-bred mare is co-owned by Mitt Romney's wife Ann, and has inspired jokes and financial questions about the Republican presidential candidate.

(5,420 posts)1. How did this horse get chosed for the olympics?
It sounds like maybe it wasn't quite ready for prime time. Did they just buy their spot? Do the Romneys think that the presidency is the same thing? TThey think they can just buy the spot?
Rmoney like his wife's horse, is not ready for prime time.

It's chosen, not chosed. That latter word does not exist.

They have trials, and the people who do best at them go to the Olympics.
