So no ... I don't believe it'll help ... unless the campaign completely fumbles the message between now and the election. (And I don't see that happening.)

Then these same critters would be saying that the President had wasted his first term of office on an unconstitutional legislation. Just as they were in the days preceding the final judgment. It's like anything else Obama does, his opponents resent him to the point that they will discredit him for any reason. They were disappointed when Bin Laden was found and killed. They wouldn't compromise on deficit reduction and blamed him for that. Can you wrap your head around that? The conservatives blamed him for not giving them 100% of what they wanted. So they will continue to say and do all they can to mislead the public and keep everyone in fear of the future, because they found it works for them and they can get away with it.

Nixon won half of the Southern states because of backlash from the Civil Rights Act

The other half went to Wallace, who was no fan of the act himself. Only Texas (among the old Confederate states) voted for Humphrey.

This is the beginning of many battles. I'll keep fighting to my dying breath. That's where the joy is in life - doing things for the common good. Fighting imbeciles & assholes along the way, meeting interesting people, and having fun doing it!

but, I kinda doubt it. If he would have owned it from the beginning til today he could take credit. Robme was doomed from the start though, in order to appease his base he has to pretend that his mandate was ok because it was just at a state level. But otoh, it is still a big government mandate. But, the tea party crowd is easily appeased since Robme is white and running against Obama, so they let the issue go. But, now this issue is going to be talked about from now until Nov. and I doubt that the tea party crowd has the cognitive dissonance needed to separate Robme from his role in shaping the ACA.

All over the country Americans will be receiving emails and letters from their insurance companies explaining that there is nothing to worry about regarding ACA and their healthcare and their coverage will continue and actually improve.

See message below I just got from Keiser Permanente./

About the Supreme Court Ruling on the Affordable Care Act

The Supreme Court decision on the federal health care reform law has settled much of the legal uncertainty over how the law will be carried out.

As a Kaiser Permanente member, you need not be concerned about any disruption to your coverage and care resulting from the court's decision.

With your health and well-being in mind, we plan to continue our extensive efforts to implement health care reform, which began two years ago when the law first became effective.
• We are implementing state and federal reform laws as an integrated health care system. These laws incorporate certain requirements around health care coverage. They also address broader improvements to the way health care is delivered now and in the future.

• We are continuing to improve the quality and integration of care, and ensuring that we have the resources in place — physicians, nurses, and other staff, as well as the right health care facilities — to provide the care you and your family will need.

• We are also reviewing the court's decision to determine how it may affect the law's expansion of Medicaid coverage to millions of Americans, which is planned to begin in 2014.

While political uncertainty still remains, we'll continue to be guided by our goals of providing high-quality care, great service, and affordability to our members and the communities we serve.

Messages like this contradict all the nonsense the idiotic RWingers are claiming about ACA.

much of the ACA, and I love it.

I am not spamming. I am happy with Kaiser. You have to be a proactive patient as with any insurance, but for me, it is good coverage. I can't speak for others. That's just my opinion.

It is affordable. The coverage makes sense. If a condition is probably not that serious, I don't get an emergency appointment. But a couple of times, my doctor has given me a last minute appointment just because the symptoms sounded serious. They never were really that serious, and I do not go often (in fact I hate going to the doctor), but I am very impressed by how quickly I could get an appointment if Kaiser thought I should be given priority. In a big city like LA, that is saying a lot.

are on the ACA.

Right now, we need to get copies of the bill and start reading so that we can discuss it intelligently with the voters we meet.

I would like to see the Obama campaign offer courses in the ACA so that campaigners, those of us who talk to voters, are better prepared than ever to discuss this and other issues.

This is sorely missing from Democratic Party campaign preparation. Democrats rely on volunteers to make up for a lack of corporate funding and PR, but the Democratic Party neglects the education of the volunteers on the issues.

I have campaigned with great organizers and am repeatedly shocked by the lack of information about the issues that some enthusiastic Democrats reveal on the campaign trail. This has to be changed if we are to win this year.

We have to be prepared to answer Fox News and all the Republican talking points. That's the only way we can win over the independent and Republican voters.

in the ACA. Because this guy's off his rocker if he thinks this will be a winning ticket for R-Money (inc).
Yes the entire bill is unpopular but the important parts ARE popular. Will family voters vote for R-Money because he will revoke the law and thus their kids' health care. Yeah, come on...

We'll be focused on the European and Asian economies in the next few months, but the Ericksons of the world will get monetary support for R-Money based on the ruling. BUT money doesn't win elections- reaching your voters does.

Press: "Mr. Romney, your healthcare plan was exactly the same in Massachusetts and you actively advocated that it be expanded from Massachusetts to the rest of the country, how can you be outraged at Obama's Health Care plan?"

Mitt Romney: "Er, um, er,um, it's not the same, mine is totally different!!!"

Press: "OK, how exactly is it different Mr. Romney?"

Mitt Romney: "Er, um, OK, er well, you see, if you turn to page 148 of mine, you'll see that I used a semi colon in the 3rd sentence of the 2nd paragraph, where as Obama used a colon, you see? They are totally different plans based upon punctuation."
