The Bain attacks must really have Romney worried: "Romney to seek Washington Post retraction"

Mitt Romney campaign representatives will meet with The Washington Post today to seek a formal retraction of its June 21 report that Bain Capital invested in firms that specialized in outsourcing American jobs, POLITICO has learned.

I'd post more, but this is the result:

"WashPost will not retract 'outsourcing' story"

The Washington Post will not retract their June 21 report about Bain Capital's investments in firms that specialized in outsourcing American jobs, POLITICO has learned.

"We are very confident in our reporting," Washington Post spokesperson Kris Coratti told POLITICO following a meeting between the Post's executive editor Marcus Brauchli and Mitt Romney campaign representatives, who had sought a retraction from the paper.

The Romney campaign would not discuss the meeting. "It was an off the record private meeting so I don’t have anything for you on that," campaign press secretary Andrea Saul told POLITICO.

what shocks me is that no GOP competitor bothered to figure this out. Considering how much the other candidates truly hate Willard MittMore, why did they ignore or miss this?

Don't get me wrong, I am very glad we have a chance to use it, and even more so, that WaPo has the spine to support its findings and research.

most likely be the nominee and it would give our side too much ammo, not to mention that it seems anti-business to attack Bain.

The GOP only like populist rhetoric when it's launched against minorities, not when it's used against the financial elite and their systems

They can't have Repubs. attacking other Repubs. for being "pro-business."

to not cave in to the weak-willed Democrats whom were criticizing him for bring Bain up in the first place. It really seems to be having an effect. I hope he keeps it up!!!

and I bet Dems. like Booker, Rendell, Ford, & Clinton will remain silent on this issue from now on. Obama could spend the vast majority of his campaign money on this same type of ad 'til Nov. and WIN (IMO).

And the Post print in the newspaper that they were sorry for telling the truth about Bain and Romney.
