Related: About this forumResults of yesterday's $ match
It is now just past midnight in the blue state of Hawaii. I'm impressed with the results, even though no candidate reached the match goal. More info later this morning.

(94,742 posts)...as I've mentioned before, I switched from Clinton to Obama in 2008 when I became convinced he was as likely to win as Clinton was. As for Bernie, I've been asking for a solid case for months.

(26,795 posts)It's about who has policy positions I most appreciate.
But I do think Bernie has a good chance at winning, and that Clinton has a good chance of losing.
Moreover, I think a Sanders presidency would be less divisive and potentially more productive.

You believe Sanders can win, but you can't explain why.

(26,795 posts)I think a lot of people who might otherwise stay home will vote for him. And I think he will be attractive to republicans who are not enamored with their party's candidate...more to the point, MORE attractive to them than Clinton as an alternative.
Worse, I fear an anti-Hillary vote from the right (as well as a stay at home and not bother to vote for her response from the left).

(14,195 posts)Hillary has her Bank$ter backers and Wall$treet bud$, so she doesn't need DU $'s.
Of course that may also be why she won't go for a new Glass Steagal, and is opposed to breaking up the to big to fail banks.......

(23,764 posts)Maybe it's been explained in an earlier thread. I like the idea of DU supporting the candidates as an organization. But how and where is not clear. Can you perhaps get the "powers to be" to pin the donation information/process at the top of this forum? That way if DU'ers have missed the initial explanation it will be there for all to see. Thanks.
