Martin O’Malley Taps Dave Hamrick, Obama Veteran, as Campaign Manager
Former Gov. Martin OMalley of Maryland has landed an adviser to Barack Obamas 2008 campaign to manage his own presidential run in 2016 , his aides said on Sunday.
Dave Hamrick will be the campaign manager for Mr. OMalleys effort, which he kicked off late last month in Maryland.
Mr. Hamrick has extensive experience as a grassroots organizer and field director, two pieces of curriculum vitae that are vital for working for a candidate who is running as an underdog; Mr. OMalley trails in polls behind Hillary Rodham Clinton and Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont.
Mr. Hamrick began his career in1996 in Michigan, working on the coordinated effort to help re-elect President Bill Clinton.

I think we are going to see some changes next week with the O'Malley campaign. I think O'Malley himself will be doing things similar to what he has been. I think the change is going to be in the number of positive write-ups on him, more of a presence in all forms of social media, and more distinction of him as an executive compared to that of his rivals. I think this is a really good move for him and it is going to come with many other changes. Hamrick is also a veteran when it comes to Iowa and New Hampshire.
