Right Wing Radio Host Hugh Hewitt To Moderate First GOP Presidential Debate

Conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt will be the moderator for the first Republican 2016 presidential debate hosted in a partnership between CNN and Salem Media Group.

The debate will be at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California on Sept. 16.

"I am delighted to be included with journalists posing questions as part of one of America's finest political traditions —the presidential debate," Hewitt said in a statement on Tuesday. "These debates come at a critical time, and good questions will allow Republican primary voters the opportunity to see and hear their would-be nominees provide answers to issues that genuinely concern them. Any reporter who is also a political junkie welcomes the chance to be on such a panel, which of course I do."

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said he was "thrilled" that Salem and CNN were partnering for the first debate.

I can't wait to watch this idiot try to fluff up the members of the clown car on stage.

"Exactly how will you emulate the great Ronald Reagan when you ascend to the Christ ordained position of President of the United States of America?"

He just did a puff piece interview with Walker, so based on what he asked then, he might start with this:

"I wanted to ask you about Mrs. Walker, and discovered that Tonette Tarantino Walker is her name, and I am all mixed up with Tarantinos out of Ohio, out of Ashtabula. So I’m glad you have a Tarantino in the family. But what does Tonette think about a national campaign having basically been on the stump with you through three elections in four years?"

Not expecting any "gotcha" questions, for sure.

"We're VERY sorry, but we've got nothing but numbskulls to offer you once again, so we're going to try to make it as easy as possible for them to come across as not total morons."
