Related: About this forumWhat is "mom jeans?" Palin is so dumb (and dumber)
Is this the worse she can say about Obama?
HockeyMom
(14,337 posts)that is a term from the 80s. Shows where Sara is, but how can a MAN wear Mom jeans?

(3,335 posts)or than, perhaps it was just Palin being Palin, the bumbling idiot. She probably stole the joke from her kids.
JustAnotherGen
(32,000 posts)But as poorly turned out as she is - that's some nerve. Especially for a woman whose husband is constantly seen in floods. The Palins do not understand the proper line where a Man's pants should break.
question everything
(47,568 posts)Palin, who prides herself on her knowledge of Russia, warned that Putin "harkens back to the era of the czars" and is on a quest to regain dominance when she spoke to FOX's Sean Hannity Monday night.
"People are looking at Putin as one who wrestles bears and drills for oil. They look at our president as one who wears mom jeans and equivocates and bloviates," Palin added.
The President was photographed donning denim on Saturday, when he called Putin from the Oval Office to discuss the situation in Ukraine.
Some conservatives complained that Obama's choice of attire was no match for the global crisis at hand.

As I said: dumb and dumber..

(18,402 posts)Michelle should get him some dark, straight-legged jeans for Father's Day, but really, does anyone care? And what does this have to do with how one conducts oneself on the job?

(32,000 posts)She's ignorant and is Klassy with the big old capital K. This is all she knows and idiots on the right always reward her for her ignorance.

(252 posts)I knew a woman like her. the first thing she'd do is cast aspersions on a males masculinity...If it was permissable...she'd start calling into question the size of his package in comparison to putins...

That was a much stupider thing for someone running for VP to say than some wardrobe commentary by someone whose 15 minutes ended (or should have) in 2008.

(30,253 posts)The media made fun of his jeans and called them "mom jeans". Mom jeans are pants that are baggy, and have a waist at or above the belly button.
Palin is just repeating that inane comment to question Obama's masculinity. The Right keeps harping on Putin's virility v. Obama's perceived "weakness". They insist that Putin invaded Crimea because Obama is seen as weak. They must have forgotten that Putin invaded Georgia when Bush was still president.
question everything
(47,568 posts)and then, Giuliani, at least, marvel at Putin making decisions while Obama is "thinking."
Of course, reason and logic were never a strong point of the RWers and Fox.

(81,565 posts)Good to have you with us! I have a conservative friend whose latest husband is evidently so extremely CONservative that he even won't accompany her to our house when she stops by to visit. Guess we have cooties or something Anyway, she's conservative but not as ridiculously so as he is. And during that 2008 campaign, she too shook her head in disbelief at sarah palin. She, too, was disgusted. My friend even commented - "she's going to set the woman's movement back 50 years." And she didn't sound very happy about it, either. Too stinky and off-putting even for my conservative friend.

(115,681 posts)The book was mostly about the Clinton and Obama campaigns before the convention, with a bit about McCains but the movie was about McCain's campaign, especially the hows, whys, wtfs of Palin.
The striking bit was not just what a person she was (holy crap), but the end foreshadowing "we've seen the last of her".

(1,281 posts)We all know Palin has all the characteristics of an escapee from a lunatic asylum . What scares me is
almost a third of Americas population embraces her as one of their own in this Cult
called the Republican Party . What does this say about Americas longevity as a
free Democratic Republic .
