The Boehner Puzzle: His latest “speaking out” about teabaggers and his claims that they wrongly

led the GOP into the government shutdown and default threat is hard to swallow. The puzzle is why did he say that? He (and Cruz) were doing the leading on the shutdown. The media portrays him as caught between the teabaggers and other conservatives or some kind of a victim. He could have called votes to end that shutdown mess, but didn’t. His rhetoric in press conferences during the shutdown and default threat were no different than any of the other crazies. He was running the show and but is now trying to shift blame for the stupidity of the shutdown?

1. I think, he is trying to pander to the Democrats.

He pretends to be reasonable, so they continue to negotiate with him, instead of going straight for Cruz or not negotiating at all.
