Romney at the Ham House: “My goodness gracious, wow”

Last edited Sat Jan 21, 2012, 06:14 PM - Edit history (4)

Mitt showed up exuding all of his signature common touch. He wouldn't touch the microphone, because Newt's boys put it there. Ergo - Nobody could hear him. He came in early 10.am to avoid a double booking at 10.45 with Gingrich. His campaign trotted out a lame lie: 'The Governor finished his previous event early'. He showed his compassionate side by buying breakfasts.

“Thank you for paying for our breakfast!” Carolyn Parsons, 85, called out to Romney over the cheers.

'You're welcome'. 'It's my pleasure'. But no, Mitt wanted to remind them that's not the Bankers Bargain-

“We’re happy to pay for breakfast,” Romney responded. “But there’s no free lunch.”

Romney exited, over a table. Newt turned up right on the dot and grabbed the microphone "Where's Mitt!"

He left? Well, OK - "There's no New England Clam Chowder on the menu".

But a lot of ham.

He does something he thinks is gracious - buying breakfasts - then sticks his foot in it - “But there’s no free lunch.”

He is painful to watch.

I was wondering whether they could coach the "robot" out of him in time for the general, but now I'm thinking that guy is just deep down weird.

Why even bring that up at this event? If you're gonna berate 'no free lunches'...don't buy people's breakfasts and use it as a tool to further your elitist asshole message. God, he's such a douchebag.
