GOTV is the most important thing we can do in 2012.
We can do many things during the campaigns to help elect candidates, but the one thing we can do that promotes all Democratic candidates is to participate in Get Out The Vote efforts in our own areas. That single effort benefits all Democratic candidates on the ballot, and in a single effort. If you can do only one thing to help in 2012, GOTV is the best use of your time. Even if you convince just a few people to go to the polls who might not have otherwise and get them to vote for Democrats, it will help.
You can work on GOTV efforts through your local Democratic Party, your local candidates' campaign efforts, and personally, among your friends and acquaintances. If we could turn out every Democrat who is registered to vote, this election will be a landslide and we will retake control of Congress, state legislatures, and the executive branches of both state and federal government.
We won't win every election, of course, but we can win more than usual if we'll just work to get Democrats to the polls. It's going to be crucial in 2012. Thanks in advance for your help!
