GOP Finds Little to Like in Obama's Inaugural Address- LOL

“It started off good,” said Rep. Robert Pittenger, a freshman Republican from North Carolina, about President Barack Obama’s inauguration speech today.
Pittenger was referring to the opening of Obama’s speech, in which the president praised Americans’ “skepticism of central authority” and how the nation has never “succumbed to the fiction that all society’s ills can be cured through government alone.”
“Our celebration of initiative and enterprise; our insistence on hard work and personal responsibility, are constants in our character,” Obama said.
But after those words, Republicans found little to like in Obama’s exhortations to take up such liberal causes as gay rights and climate change.
“It became of the government, by the government and for the government — more government in our lives,” Pittenger said.
“Well ... a lot of that speech I would have been proud to have given. Particularly the first part,” said Rep. Jeb Hensarling, R-Texas, an influential conservative and chairman of the House Financial Services Committee. “A fair amount of it, not so.”

He said “We will respond to the threat of climate change” and criticized those who doubt the scientists who say human-caused pollution is causing the more extreme weather events. “That one took me back a little bit,” said Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa.
Former Speaker Newt Gingrich agreed, saying, “The climate change part was, on one level, frankly strange. I think he believes it, I think he’s sincere, but it’s still strange. The great energy revolution we’re living through is called oil and gas.”
One thing the Republicans did praise Obama for was his technical proficiency in delivering the speech.
“He’s a great speechmaker,” Tiberi said. “He’s great with the inflection and the words that he use."

I'd be extremely worried if they DID like it.

2. Please. Why would you think they would like his speech?? They criticize him on everything and i

mean everything. To me, they are so nonexistent and not worth my time. Children -- that's what they are.
They criticize, criticize, criticize and do nothing. They won't even work 4 or 5 days a week. Absolutely nonsense. What are we paying these fools for??? They get money for doing nothing... Really!!!

5. Actually he did say 'uses'

I accidentally cut it off when I copied it. But I'm leaving it. It's funnier that way.
