Isn't the press supposed to hold politicans feet to the fire?

This morning Chuck Todd had a newly elected Republican Rep. on his show. The fellow was calling for spending cuts and lamenting the debt under Obama. Todd failed to ask for specifics in spending cuts and failed to mention the fact that the debt has increased less under Obama then any recent President. I sent this to Chuck Todd on twitter, am awaiting his reply. If you have the time help me in putting some pressure on Mr. Todd, thank you.

2. It is the people who are supposed to hold politicians

accountable and hold the press accountable. For example, you could have given the name and State of this Republican so others could pressure him.

5. Yes

But I did not catch the name I think he was from Alabama.
Also if Todd is going to let those folks come on and just spew their bs, he should go to work for Faux.

3. Press faces bankruptcy and is desperately trying to "make news" to survive. Perhaps only 2 or 3 will

stay at the national/international level and a different news concept at local levels.
