Ashamed to be from Bama AGAIN!

And yes, I am often ashamed, but today is another low even for Bama politics.

http://blog.al.com/live/2013/01/rep_mo_brooks_why_i_voted_agai.html#incart_most-comments

The quote that is the most memorable,

"He also said taxpayers "should not have to fork out a nickel" to pay for property damage in areas historically vulnerable to storms.

"People have to protect themselves from the risks of weather, particularly if they live in an area that is periodically hit by substantial storms," Brooks said. "They should not expect American taxpayers to subsidize a vacation home on the beach.""

Uhm....his area needed tornado relief in April 2011. His state has homes on the beach...one of which belongs to his crony, the governor. I wonder what he'll say if the spring is brutal in Bama this year?

it is likely to be very brutal. His time in the DC area had blizzards and earthquakes.

And don't take any shit from smug blue-staters here at DU when they trash the population of an entire state, you included.

No state in the country takes more undifferentiated, blanket insults on DU than my state of Texas. God help us, we are burdened with subhumans like Perry and Cruz---but me and 3.3 million other Texans voted for Obama this time around, and there are plenty of Texas DU'ers. This is a site where Democrats should expect support and solidarity---rather than snotty demands that our states secede and that we displaced Democrats become political refugees.

Fight it, don't enable it. You'll have a lot more fun, if you do.....

Why don't you give back some of that excess tax revenue that you recieve from the blue states? You do realize that you get more back in taxes than you actually pay right?

Edited for angry spelling...

Since I do not take responsibility for the ossified assholes of the Republican Party in this state,or of this country.
I did not vote for them, or espouse their stupid remarks.
Alabama has a LOT of good things going for it, which is why I like living here.

it strikes somewhere else then no money can be used. Hey Bama, are you getting hit again by tornadoes??

By the way, in this day and age who is 100% safe from storms??
And when was the last time NY or NJ got hit this hard?? And so money can't be used for repairs and make the area safer from any future catastrophic storms?? And how is reducing the funding for satellite weather info going to help people -- yes people living in this entire country -- from the advanced notice of these storms??

Get your fuckin' act together -- you unpatriotic Rs!

Come join the rest of us americans!!! Or are you ashamed of this country??
