I was told this past saturday that the group that protests the burials of our american

soldiers may come to Newton, CT to protest these burials? Has anyone else heard that?
I was also told that 2,000 people have signed up to visit Newton, CT to block these protesters?

Has anyone heard of this? Kindly confirm or give me more info.

You're meaning Westboro Baptist Church.

I finally had to unfollow them. I felt dirty for a month afterwards.

headed off to the funeral. The point often seems just to be press coverage, since their show rate is a bit spotty: it's not that uncommon for them to announce they'll come, then not show. Sometimes they show up just long enough for press camera crews to get footage, then leave. Hardly anyone likes them: whenever anybody tries to organize a counter-protest, the WBC are hugely outnumbered

Anonymous – @kyanonymous, an Internet ‘hacktivist’ has taken credit for hacking the WBC website and has sent a message to the church in a video for the Westboro group. Anonymous explains that the church’s hate supersedes reason and they warn:

“We will not debate, argue or attempt to reason with you. Instead we have unanimously deemed your organization to be harmful to the population of the United States of America and therefore have decided to execute an agenda of action which will progressively dismantle your institution of deceitful pretext and extreme bias…We recognize you as serious opponents and do not expect our campaign to terminate in a short period of time.

I think lots of people in CT would block them from getting close anyway. But they are disgusting.
