2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumYou would describe your mood today as.......
To quote the Grateful Dead, "What a long, strange trip it's been." But we got here. Some of started as Hillary supporters; others supported Bernie; others supported O'Malley; and there might even be the odd Republican here that couldn't bring themselves to support Donald Trump.
How are you feeling about the election today?

(27,442 posts)I was in bed most of Sunday recovering from a migraine. Had a doctors appointment yesterday and spent a good chunk of it commiserating on how this election has stressed everyone out. He suggested long walks rather than more wine.

(37,428 posts)A bigly rebuke to Trump is on the way, and the GOP's "leadership" is welcome to partake in a nice, hot cup of fuck-you.

(28,270 posts)Hoping for the best.
Hoping the news media and polling outfits have way under counted the Latino vote and hoping many republican women are voting for Hillary too.

(8,756 posts)I feel exactly the same as I did about the Cubs going into Game 7. I'm worried and anxious, but I'm also feel she, like the Cubs, got this.
Its gonna be fine.

(3,660 posts)There is very little reason to worry about a miraculous Trump win, and always has been. The electoral map is not on his side.

(5,790 posts)I have blocked most of the reposts from RedState, Trump for President, Alex Jones, etc. Nevertheless, I get a lot of pro-Trump noise in my feed.
Actually, I'm looking forward to following some friends and family again at the end of the week.

(5,790 posts)In March, several of the men were in the "Trump tells it like it is" camp. By October, they were in the "how are you going to vote for a guy that said that" frame of mind.

It all comes in waves.

(5,790 posts)The numbers look good...until you consider that a 3/10 chance Trump wins is still way too high for comfort.

(23,099 posts)One moment I'm happy dancing, can't wait to hear the official announcement of Hillary as our next president. The next, I'm anxious, terrified, worried that drumpf/Repugs/Russia will steal the election since Comey made the race tighten. I just can't handle the thought of that long running nightmare and the total demise of the ideals of this country. Then logical me reasserts itself and advises, stop the palpitations, she's got this, we've (sane people) got this.
