2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumCan't do it anymore. I rarely watch CNN or MSNBC. Stopped watching
both ABC morning and evening news about 6 weeks ago and switched to CBS. As of this morning, I'm avoiding all so-called news until Nov. 9. I'll have to get the weather from my phone and forego local events.
I'm 68 and have never seen an election like this. The country's come undone.

(135,425 posts)We need to try real hard to not turn on one another, though--especially those of us who have been around for awhile.
The other side feels free to lie and call our candidate the 'c' word--they're beneath contempt.

(11,457 posts)Went for a walk with my late 30's neighbor, I am 60.
She was talking about NPR and we got into conversation about when news changed when they were forced to make a profit and to do so started opinion with little fact.
I told her what news was like when i was young, just the facts, so refreshing and they sent their own people over to find out the facts.

(11,816 posts)But mostly just listening to podcasts about old movies and true crime. Sad that it's more relaxing to listen to a story about someone who just disappears than it is to listen to regular news.
