Domestic Terrorism Complaint Filed with FBI Against Joe Walsh Over Violent TweetWritten by Janet Shan on October 26, 2016
An anti-Trump group has filed a domestic terrorism complaint with the FBI against former Congressman Joe Walsh over a tweet that seems to call for violence if Donald Trump loses the presidential election.
Walsh tweeted to his 76.6K followers: On November 8th, Im voting Trump. On November 9th, if Trump loses, Im grabbing my musket. You in?

(164 posts)Take a look at what's happening in Venezuela right now. Violent unrest. People could say, "That can't happen here". Well, when you have people like Trump and his rabid followers all worked up in a frenzy along with a huge supply of weapons and ammunition and then find something to set them off, it could get ugly. Now, I'm surprised that when Obama was elected all seemed well. Can't remember if there was anything going on or not. I was just happy Obama won, then I went to bed! But you know the Repugs were seething that a black man was the president. They couldn't accept that it was the PEOPLE'S CHOICE to elect him president! Now they utterly refuse to believe a WOMAN is going to win the White House. I know some Republicans have taken the high road and are supporting Hillary and denouncing Trump, but it's a very small fraction. If Trump decides to incite violence when he loses, he should be immediately arrested for causing unrest. The whole world is watching us to see if we are still the beacon for democracy or if we descend into chaos. I know it's foolish for me to think that somebody will go out and start shooting things up but it's something that's been staying with me. Hopefully people just keep their sanity and Republicans admit DEFEAT and get on with their lives. I'll still have my job to go to the next day, life goes on. I hope that Walsh is investigated. You can't take these threats lightly. I wish Twitter would go down the next two weeks. It's a quite handy way to spread hate. I don't know, do any of you think I'm going too far worrying about possible civil unrest?

(32,640 posts)In 2012, Tammy Duckworth kicked his ass with her robot feet, and votes; it probably didnt help that Walsh couldnt stop mocking her military service, which she was not entitled to talk about so much, because it was unseemly, and maybe unfair to Walsh, who didnt have the advantage of having a helicopter shot out from underneath him in Iraq. He also thought it was pretty funny she went shopping for a dress.
