Trump threatens to sue over 'nasty' campaign ads

Speaking at a rally in Henderson, Nev., the GOP presidential nominee insisted he would help veterans if elected and complained that he was unfairly targeted by negative advertising.

“And then I saw today ... a commercial where — it was really a nasty commercial, totally made up, about me with vets,” Trump said.

“There is nobody that loves the vets more or respects the vets more. They’re spending hundreds of millions of dollars on false commercials, and it’s a disgrace. So what we’ll do, I guess we’ll sue them. Let’s sue them.”

It was not immediately clear which ad Trump was referring to.

At last week’s first presidential debate, Trump complained that Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton runs “very nasty commercials that you do on me in so many different ways, which I don't do on you.”

He did not make clear at the time which ads he was referring to. Many of Clinton’s attack ads use footage of Trump speaking.

If it seems particularly tasteless and "nasty" to him, perhaps he should look in the mirror.

Take the whole wall building thing for example, the jobs anyone who comes here illegally take dont really cost US citizens anything nor do any services they use cost much compared to the cost of building and maintaining a wall along the border with Mexico especially since such a wall can just be tunneled under.
Not to mention his ridiculous statement that he would get Mexico to pay for it.

Lazy ass The Hill needs to just go on youtube and find the vet-themed ads themselves. There are a couple and they had been running here in Philly for several weeks (we recently started seeing the ones directed to young women/girls).

I just saw David Pakman talking about the VP debate, where Tim Kaine rattled off a long list of d Rump's campaign insults, against Mexicans, Women, POWs, African Americans, Prez Obama. Then Pence said "I was just listening to the avalanche of insults coming out of Senator Kaine". He made the statement with his oily, unctuous, greasy, polished bircher politician little smile and smooth delivery style.

David said that after Kaine listed the large number of insults, Pence acted like Tim Kaine mentioning those insults was "insulting or offensive." "Wahhhhh! How dare you insult us by listing our insults! Insulting people is a terrible thing to do, it runs counter to our repuglican values!"

They have the intellect and mentality of a grade-school bully slapping a smaller kid's face with the smaller kid's own hand, and saying simultaneously "stop hitting yourself." There's no argument to be had based on the proposition that the smaller kid is or isn't hitting themselves.

Ms. Quijano could have earned points as a moderator if she would have just interjected "those are insults from your campaign, Governor, not insults from your opponent against your campaign." She's shooting for Pelley Mitchell Matthews status, though, she isn't aspiring to be like Maddow, Reid, O'Brien. So she'll let the repugs' elementary school yard bully lies go unchallenged, coz she can suck up to the Mellon family more that way.

Big league pathetic. Bigly weak.

I'd normally blame Newt's influence for this "anyone who quotes me is lying" tactic, but Don has used frivolous lawsuits for decades to intimidate people.

Psst, Don, that only works when you're up against somebody small, with few resources and no publicity. You seem to have forgotten that it doesn't apply here.

Sad!

Me too.

I was coming to post this article. Glad someone beat me to it.

I also remember when the repunks made it difficult for people to declare bankruptcy. But that was when YOU couldn't pay your hospital bill when your appendix burst, not when you gambled by borrowing money to buy a casino and lost.

The swine do look almost human.
