had the gall to say that "all candidates change their talking points after they're nominated. Tweety exploded.."I'm not going to stand for that." At least make the statement a year ago instead of a few days (I'm paraphrasing) before changing your words.. Poor Chuckie, he's on a losing streak with his puffing up Mittens, it just isn't believable... Very good show so far.

(16,646 posts)The statement doesn't say what it seems to say. The guy isn't really advocating changing any positions. He was suggesting that the focus shifts completely after a primary to new issues. At that point, Romney won't have to be taking hard stances on some issues to differentiate himself from Obama.
The problem is that we don't admit that there are issues we don't want highlighted in the general election. Furthermore, you definitely don't want to tell the very folks you're trying to impress with those hard stances, that once the primary is over, you'll distance yourself from them. Heck, in Romney's case that's EXACTLY what many of those people are worried about.

(7,767 posts)how much of a republican he truly is every time that CM goes off on Romney. Hardball has been great the past few months with Chris loving Obama and hating all of the GOP candidates.
