Quite frankly, I want the polls to remain "close"

I've learned my lesson from 2012 about worrying about every poll that comes out. What I don't mind though is the media's clear need for this to be considered a toss up so that Hillary supporters don't get comfortable and complacent. But we live in such a polarized and partisan country that the Republicans and Democrats could put up anyone and we are going to get a 52-48 kind of election. It's the electoral college that matters and Hillary has a much easier path to 270 than does Trump.

But again, we must GOTV. Obama and Biden and Warren and Sanders on the campaign trail, most Sanders supporters having already come around to Hillary are all good signs for Hillary. The demographic numbers just spell complete doom for Trump but in the end it's still got to be getting your ass to the polls and voting. So if the media continues to play this as a toss up that's not really a bad thing because the sheer fear of a Trump presidency will get out the vote more so I believe than those who shudder at the fear of a Hillary presidency. It's sad that both candidates are so unlinked and it's going to come down to a lot of who I'm voting against but I still like Hillary's odds in that contest.

When the "founding fathers" were around my people were slaves and had no rights so I have not a single damn to be given about how proud or not proud they would be.

I for one am beginning to regret the actions of this country throughly. Including voting simply to stop rather than for someone I believe in.

13. And most of the founding fathers owned slaves, and some of them practiced pedophilia with them.

The whole founding fathers argument is so ridiculous.

They had great ideas. Some of them were geniuses. Most of them were hypocrites. We do not need to live up to them. We need to live up to the universal IDEAS of human worth that they distilled from ancient philosophy and wrote into a code - and subsequently violated every day.

If we are going to live up to the IDEAS they gave us, we have to behave opposite to their behavior.

4. The thing about GOTV is that Hillary has a strong ground game.

Trump doesn't even have a ground game at all.

I was just thinking the same thing.

I don't agree Hillary is unliked (a clear majority of Democrats just chose her) but the media likes to spin it that way.

The GOP is brilliant at finding ways to deceive the voters and winning elections that they would otherwise lose. This time, if they win, they will replace Scalia. That would be a disaster for our country.

shoes, I would shut my mouth until Trump was the anointed candidate. I would do nothing to make the RNC manufacture some kind of coup to put someone else into the candidacy.

I am guessing that is what she is doing.

And now, get yourself a foot massager to help calm you down, because the polls are going to look worse before they look better. There will be a convention bump for the Republicans, and if she is doing what I think she is doing, she will not work hard to counteract that until the Democratic convention.

Have faith. Hang in there. She's got this. You and I will be celebrating in November.

They encourage us to register voters and really work at GOTV.

They also pretty much ensure that Trump will not be dumped as the GOP candidate. While he horrifies me, I would rather Clinton run against Trump than Kasich or Cruz.

15. It's all about the ground game

Get out the vote efforts will decide this election. And Hillary has a huge ground game already where Trump is relying on the Party to handle it all.

The RNC probably has more money to spend than the DNC, but they've also got more seats to defend. It's two ways to do things, but I know the RNC probably really wishes Trump would have contributed something.
