Timothy Kaine. Issue Position: Individual Rights. 1 January 2012. "I strongly support the right of women to make their own health and reproductive decisions and, for that reason, will oppose efforts to weaken or subvert the basic holding of Roe v. Wade. We all share the goal of reducing unwanted pregnancies and abortions. The right way to do this is through education and access to health care and contraception rather than criminalizing women's reproductive decisions." (votesmart.org)

He's personally against abortion, but has always voted to protect a woman's right to chose.
He shouldn't be faulted for that.

like the inclusion of the "Choose Life" license plates when he was governor. I've voted for him, even met him, but I'd prefer a stronger advocate on choice, ymmv.

Kaine gets a bad rap. He's a good Democrat.
Remember that Joe Biden has the exact same viewpoint.

but I wish a democrat hadn't been the one to okay those plates. Like I said, ymmv, and it wouldn't stop me from voting for HRC if she should choose him as VP.
