(70,501 posts)I might be wrong but most of the original band is either dead or has retired
years ago ..... but no doubt those college kids want to go to an airport hanger
to see Marshall Tucker today.

It looks like 3 of the original 6 are deceased.
I played in a cover band back in the late 70s. We covered their only hit, "Heard it in a love song (cain't be wrong)". It looks like they've produced about 30 albums over the years. Who knew?

(8,377 posts)in a dinky little private aviation hangar with a band nobody has heard of since 1985?
Is that really the building? I doubt you could get more than about 500 people in there and still have room for a decent stage.
The atmospherics of that are terrible. Romney would be better off not having any event, I'd think.

I thought Mitt had more money than Obama! Surely he could afford a bigger place!

(3,333 posts)This band which is missing many original members - their best selling single hit #14 in 1977, and their best selling album hit #15 in 1975. Nothing else cracked the top 20.
Now Bruce Springsteen, he's a legend. He's an American icon. His music has changed lives.
Obama is ending with a huge bang, and Romney is ending with a firecracker.

(22,140 posts)and pathetic for the last full day of a campaign. The pic should be in black and white . Kind of match the dreary mood the Romney staff must have.
