We would never hear the end of it! Especially if the people behind the hack were holding positions' in Bernie's organization similar to the position that Brock holds.

Ask yourself, who's more of a Democrat. The guy who was an indy & has Dem principles like FDR or the gal who wears a Dem label but is closer to Bob Dole & courts Bush donors?
It's not hard.

(5,902 posts)from 1932-1976, the Democratic Party as a whole was far more progressive. The issues and approaches advocated today by Bernie Sanders were considered mainstream Democratic ideas by Franklin D. Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, and Lyndon Johnson, and even many moderate Republicans. It was common to support strict financial regulation, liberal immigration, social services for the poor, and progressive tax policies.

(31,700 posts)I know, generally, what I'll find if Hillary's well-compensated speeches to Wall Street are made public, though.
What do you think you'll find when you get to see the Sanders family personal tax returns? Nothing.

(90,769 posts)CNN Reports FBI Has Found No Criminal Wrongdoing in Hillary Clinton Email Investigation
For all those Hillary Clinton opponents who have been hoping against hope that the likely Democratic presidential nominee will be indicted as a result of the FBI review of Hillarys email server, CNN has some bad news. According to CNN correspondent Pamela Brown, the FBI is close to wrapping up the investigation, and thus far have found no criminal wrongdoing:
The interviews, were told, are focused on whether classified information was mishandled, and the security of the server. So far officials tell us, no, there is no evidence of criminal wrongdoing at this point in the investigation, but, again, the investigation is not over.
It sounds like theyre really just waiting for Hillary Clinton to be interviewed so they can wrap things up, but if Republicans and Bernie Sanders and the media are counting on Hillary Clinton to suddenly crack under questioning, they havent been paying attention.

(5,761 posts)And you want to know something? America doesn't really give a crap about it when many Americans are struggling to make rent & feed their kids.
Hillary can't even support a living wage. The people who build bridges would be sleeping under them under a Hillary presidency, just ask her interns who weren't paid, unlike Bernie who paid his. Maybe Hillary should reach into her speaking fee wallet & do the right thing but that won't happen. We know how the Clintons are. It's all about the mighty buck.

(90,769 posts)The practice of releasing tax returns when running for office didn't become commonplace until the late 1960's, which is also when presidential candidates, and not just presidents, began to routinely release their income tax returns to the public. In the runup to the 1968 presidential election, George Romney, a governor of Michigan at the time, released 12 years of his tax returns from 1955-1966 after being pressed on the topic by reporters. This set the precedent for presidential candidates to release their tax returns and almost every president from Nixon onward has made their tax returns public. The only exception was Gerald Ford, who kept his tax returns private.

Hillary Clinton only presidential candidate to release full tax returns
As millions of Americans scramble to file their tax returns by Mondays deadline, many are wondering whats in the private tax returns of this years presidential candidates.
Thats an open question in the case of candidates Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders, neither of whom have disclosed years of tax returns.
Sanders released his 2014 tax return late Friday. It showed that he and his wife, Jane, earned $205,271 that year, largely from his $174,000 Senate salary and the Social Security benefits they both receive.
>snip<
Still, only Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has fully disclosed years worth of returns. Sanders has released an abbreviated version of his taxes for a single year. Trump hasnt released anything, while his Republican challengers, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich, have made only partial tax information public.
All told, the 2016 presidential campaign has been an abysmal one so far for tax transparency, according to tax experts and government watchdog groups.

(5,761 posts)Tell us, how the hell a tax return helps the vet sleeing under the bridge?
Issues matter. American voters don't give a crap about tax returns. You can pivot all you want but your candidate is weak sauce in a general. In an era of change, Hillary is a stagnant dinosaur.
