2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumSurveyUSA: GEORGIA (Romney +8) Romney 52, Obama 44
Not the most impressive number for Romney in Georgia. Sure, it's 3 points better than the (+5) McCain got in 2008, but it's only half of the (+16) Bush got in 2004.

(15,438 posts)In most posts showing President Obama behind Willard, the poster generally gives their reason for posting it along the lines of, "Obama closing in" or "smaller percentage than in (fill in pres. election year)". Or they'd post other polls either discrediting or supporting that poll. This was lacking in the OP's post.

(15,438 posts)due, mostly, to his skin color considering Georgia's racist past. Carter was the one outlier, a conservative Democrat. But then again, it's his state.
To post showing Willard ahead in the polls in Georgia serves no purpose other than to show that another Republican is ahead in Georgia. Hence my "a post like this belongs at the Rethuglican Underground, not here".
I thought that was clear.

(14,755 posts)I predict that it he will do better in 2012 than he did in 2008. Early voting among the African American community is very strong.

(3,491 posts)Back then we heard how huge the A-A vote was in Georgia. Are there stats anywhere showing a difference?
