Head of Ted Cruz super pac endorses Sanders!

Last edited Sun May 1, 2016, 01:18 PM - Edit history (1)

On last night's Bill Maher, Kellyanne Conway, President of the Keep the Promise Super PAC called Sanders "inspirational and transformational," and said Clinton was "a very weak candidate that half the country doesn't trust." She went on to say "I like direct democracy. I like the fact that he's called out Hillary Clinton as a typical politician. I think he's fantastic." And she stressed that millenials will stay home if Clinton is the nominee.

Now of course this wasn't a real endorsement just like Koch didn't actually endorse Clinton, although if she had said those things about Clinton I'm sure we would have seen dozens of posts about it by now. Still it was shocking how much her talking points sounded like those of the Sanders supporters around here. And somehow we're supposed to believe that Clinton is the one who is muddying the waters with paid online "trolls"?

because they don't want to. And they're certainly not going to finally take that good look in the mirror. Leave them to themselves, Power, and mostly move on to the GE?

And yes, Hillary is officially muddying the waters with paid online trolls, via brock. Good news is, those trolls are obvious and inept, and easily spotted.

If you think in terms of "facts" instead of just believing everything is a "talking point", or understand that "facts" are not "smears", maybe things would make more sense to you.

The Clintons have damaged the "Democrat" brand. Both parties have gotten so corrupt, IMO, that they won't be able to rally what they assumed would be their unquestioning troops, this time, for the usual STFU and vote for me candidates. Brought that on themselves. If you think the millennials would have been, or will be, as enthusiastic for Hillary as they are for Bernie, you are quite mistaken. ISSUES. Not "talking points".

Calilng Clinton corrupt isn't a "fact." Nor is whining about "the woman card," calling her a republican, or hoping that she will be indicted and arrested.

I don't believe that only trolls support Sanders, nor have I ever said anything of the sort. But I think it's clear that there are forces on the right who have been supporting Sanders, and if you believe that Clinton is playing dirty tricks online, why wouldn't you assume the Republicans are doing the same? I think some percentage of the online smears against Clinton are coming from the right under the guise of Sander supporters. And I think a segment of Sanders supporters is naively parroting right wing BS without understanding where it's coming from or what effect it will have. Then there's probably another segment of cynical Sanders supporters who know they're using rw talking points, but don't care because they want to do anything they can to damage Clinton.

Oh and btw, around here we don't say things like "Democrat brand." The preferred term is "Democratic."

Was someone trying to pander to those Bernie Supporters who are pissed off right now at the Clintons and the DNC.
She was a total broken clock on a lot of it I must say(Being right only twice a day). Rob Reiner was actually annoying.
Anyways, Your run of the mill Sanders Backer would NEVER vote Cruz or Trump.
So Have a nice day.

Of course she was trying to pander. I just wish more Sanders supporters would put aside their anger and not play into the right wing attempt to divide our party.

Didn't Brock recently admit he was spending one million dollars on online posters?

As far as the allegedly remarkable similarity, it's not remarkable. Anyone who listens to what Bernie says or believes the same things Bernie believes, is highly likely may say and post similar things. Not exactly inexplicable.

politicians or the voters.

Republican Politicians want Hillary because they believe (and some polls agree) that she will lose to Trump.

Republican electorate: there are some republicans who are actually in favor of Bernie Sanders over Clinton or Trump. They are fed up with the dysfunction and protection of the 1% over the 99%.

Always a delight to watch her get rolled over on the panel shows. Interesting that Berners are so proud to be endorsed by a far right GOP operative but they've been simpatico to republicans of all stripes so maybe not a surprise.

They'll call Clinton a center-right republican and claim that Koch endorsed her, yet they're also seemingly proud that Sanders polls well among republicans and independents many of whom only support him because they are isolationist, anti-establishment Ron Paul types who are hardly progressive. And when one of the Koch brothers says similar nice things about Sanders they're suspiciously silent.
