If there's any question of Trump's politics, the reference to America First tells me all I need to know.

Look up Charles Lindbergh's involvement in America First and his sympathy for and admiration of Hitler's Germany. Fortress America didn't work then, and it won't work now - it can't work now. The reactions by our allies should be interesting. It won't be kind, and the prospect of a Trump presidency is increasingly horrifying. Call me an alarmist, but we are looking at a replay of Europe in the 1930s.

And I want to address your "fortress America" line. I, as an anti hawk, am not asking for isolationism. I am saying we need disengagement from the multiple military engagements around the globe. I have heard some say that "innocent people will DIE if we leave!" Well I got some bad news, innocent people are going to die no matter what we do, and we have ample evidence that our involvement can actually make things worse. The only way as I see it, for these countries that we are involved in to "fix" themselves is if they do it themselves, internally. They may not for many years, but I don't see how we can keep paying the price in blood and treasure.
