2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumHonestly the important stages here are not Kübler-Ross but Kohlberg
Kübler-Ross is the "five stages of grief" model (denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance), and it's a lot of fodder for snark in GD-P.
A more important (I think) set of stages is Kohlberg's, and it's one that a lot of GD-P is failing. Basically Kohlberg moral stage 1 is incapable of viewing others as autonomous moral agents capable of making decisions. "If only you understood my candidate's position, of course you would support him." In this context, it's the belief that nobody could sincerely support Clinton, and must have been somehow duped, bought off, or ignorant to do so. Hopefully we can soon progress to Kohlberg stage 2, which is basically Rousseau's social contract theory. Too bad we didn't start out there; the primary season might have been a lot more pleasant.

(14,255 posts)supporting a Third Way warmonger? That's pretty insulting, really! And - I won't.
I believe some people sincerely support Clinton. What's amazing is that those people think that I would cast aside my real hatred of what she stands for, and support her too, just because of the letter D.
I see way more BSS at post conventional mortality.
