Now I KNOW the Rethugs are truly desperate.

They've sent my husband a letter saying that he is one of "America's most notable Republicans" and asking for a "major donation." Any amount will do, though the maximum he could contribute individually, they say, is a paltry $78,500.

If their lists are filled with "notable Republicans" like my hubby, they're doomed.

I don't think they are the least bit desperate for money, though.

Desperate for good candidates, yes. Money, no.

My family puts me on their mailing lists. And I like those postage paid return envelopes, which I stuff with Obama literature when I mail it back to them.

from the Nixon era, when his college roommate put his name down as a recruit, LOL. (Hubby got a Christmas card from Nixon that year.)

I write the checks to Obama, so I guess the Repubs haven't figured out the money's coming from a joint account.

Otherwise, I'd be stuffing the envelope, too.
