Mark Critz (D) from W. PA is trashing the President in his ads to get the conservative vote.

How he "stood against Obamacare", "fought Obama's EPA", are two examples. He is sounding like Jason Altmire (D) who lost to Critz in the primary.

In some areas, that's what it takes to win. That's why the Republicans often run moderates in areas like New England. Still, this guy's taking it too far. It's as if he's ashamed to be a Democrat.

Even though both Altmire and Critz are blue dogs, the Repubs knew that Altmire had a better chance in the November election.

So, they set up PA-12 to Critz's advantage for the primary, which he won soundly. People who live in Altmire's hometown, where he pulled always pulled a lot of votes, were put in Tim Murphy's district.

There is a ton of money being spent by the national (and international!) Republicans on this race. It is a fairly conservative district...but there are still Democrats living there who are getting offended by some of these ads.

Everybody in that district needs to remember that Keith Rothfus is radical right and was endorsed by the Tea Party Express.
