Is there a "no Sensata" clause in the debate agreement? (Original Post) ReasonableToo Oct 2012 OP

Perhaps, in his closing statements like 47% reference in his second debate closing statement.

Romney has no chance to respond/rebut him in real-time until sometime after Election day. Obama can get two full news-cycles out of it before Romney can distribute a response widely.

Romney can say that he's not part of Bain now and lay it on PBO's doorstep since it's happening under PBO's watch. Stranger things have happened.

On outsourcing, he needs to hit Mitt on his actual actions of outsourcing, which he did. He talked about how Romney knows about sending jobs to China because he sent them there.

If he goes Sensata, he clouds the issue. Romney then gets to ignore everything and say, "It's a blind trust", etc. Sensata specifically is not nearly as strong an argument as Romney's overall record.

Did anybody else notice how Bob Schieffer gave (seemingly intentionally) Romney 2 extra chances to talk in the debate? One of these occurred in the middle of the debate (between a transition on topics) when Romney had two consecutive opportunities. Then Obama should have been given a rebuttal opportunity at the end (since Romney went first) but he was cut off by Shieffer. Seems Obama definitely got screwed by Shieffer.

So I didn't know if it evened out overall.

Did we get an total talk time for each for the last one?

The team that moderated the last warren-brown debate was pretty good. If one went over they gave the other extra time.
