(30,439 posts)He essentially says everything is a disaster and everything is falling apart.
He's all doom and gloom which is an argument that wouldn't work in the general election because we have a sitting Democratic president and he's running for the Democratic nomination.
I prefer people who are more uplifting.

(30,439 posts)She's running on building Obama's agenda which is much more positive than anything Bernie has to say.
Bernie will never be sitting in the Oval Office anyways, so it's a moot point.

(4,451 posts)when I watch him I feel the tension, anger and aggression pour out of him. I love Obama and it is increasingly clear Bernie does not believe in anything Obama stands for. That will hurt him since Obama is favored by many. I am a Never Bernie person and proud. It is actually a relief to say that and to know I control my vote.

(57,349 posts)I've seen the nasty smears you posted about Bernie, if you believed even half of them there's no way you would have ever voted for him to begin with. Spare me the dramatic flourish.

(18,115 posts)aver you would not vote for the party's nominee if it is someone you don't like. You can't be both loyal to the party and disavow that party's possible nominee.

(4,187 posts)I am much more busy now than I was in 2012, but if Hillary is the nominee, I will make time to knock on some doors.
If it's Bernie, I'm sorry, but I just can't do it. I donated to his campaign before he started using right-wing arguments to attack Hillary, but no more. At this point, I think all he cares about is winning, regardless of how much he ends up damaging the Democratic party.

(4,451 posts)Vote for Bernie if he were the nominee.. but here I am. I absolutely know I won't I can't. Too much Obama trashing DNC trashing.. It's just not for me.

(57,349 posts)Remember?
Once again, please explain why his actions are not consistent with his rhetoric.
Why is it that Bernie can't pay women equally in his own campaign? Why is it that he can't promote women to top levels in his own campaign the way he promotes men? Assuming you're a woman, does this not disturb you in the least?
Personally, I find it insulting that a man would think he would get my vote by saying certain things that are inconsistent with his actions.

Has that changed for some reason?

(14,459 posts)New talking points were sent out.
BTW, I admit to being a little disgusted how Team Hill is using the Obama Admin as a prop to hold their campaign up. Hillary couldn't be bothered to follow Obama's direct orders while working for him.
That's not the behavior of an ally or someone who supported his Admin.

(57,349 posts)After the way Hillary and her supporters treated him in 2008 I don't think I would have the nerve to do that but hey, that's me.
Bernie criticizes Obama's policies and he's a hater who wants to destroy his legacy. Hillary runs a racist campaign that shocked and horrified people around the world and she's his bff.

(4,187 posts)He insinuates that she's owned by Wall Street. He insinuates that she's a liar. He claims she's part of the establishment. He criticizes her for accepting large amounts of money for her speaking engagements (which many people do, but apparently it's only a problem if you're Hillary). These are attacks that will really hurt her in the general election if she's the Democratic nominee.

(2,353 posts)Is this the part where you expect Sanders supporters to shame you, fear you, or beg you to vote for him. *Spoiler Alert* He is winning Independents overwhelmingly and they make up 43% of the electorate; I think he will be fine.

(71,265 posts)I was tired of going back and forth with these individuals. I can't stand watching Sanders either and I turn him off. I was for Hillary in 2008 but I always liked Obama and was ready to support him when she dropped out. I admit it will be hard to support Sanders but if he wins I will vote for him. But i just don't like his negativity.
But he will not win.

(7,963 posts)It is pitiful and shameful how she has been treated. If anything, she is A real testament to how women or even PoC are treated in the workplace. We all know we have to do twice as much to get the same recognition as our white male counterparts.
Whether you agree with her politics or not, you can't take away that she is an adept politician. She has learned to be ruthless because people have been ruthless to HER. She didn't sink like they thought she would. She learned to swim and be her own force. I have always admired her smarts, strength, and courage and I always will because I know how hard it is for women to get to her position.
No. This woman has been mercilessly vetted since the 90's. I have to agree with the other posters. Bernie has been treated with kid gloves so far. So has Trump, for that matter.
Armstead
(47,803 posts)But the issue at hand is whether she has proven that she would be sble to survive GOP attacks in a presidential campsign and win over independents and get enough votles to win.
In that sense she is as unproven as sny other candidate who had not run in a general election.
GeorgiaPeanuts
(2,353 posts)...Thanks to the smear machine from David Brock. The Clinton Campaign have used a great many Rovian tactics against Bernie, even attempting to swiftboat him over his activist photos from Chicago.

"Based on the Terms of Service, we have grounds to ban anyone who states that they do not intend to vote for the Democratic nominee in any general election. There is a popular misconception that the "Vote for Democrats" rule only applies after a nominee has been chosen, but that is not correct."

I hear that from friends too and I don't know, things are really bad. The whole thing is bad. I understand some of the frustrations from all sides, but the whole system and the tri-partisanship is awful. I've had to point out to a friend who is of the "let the system collapse and grow strong again" persuasion that the second doesn't always happen. How many failed states, or states (countries) are there around the world where people are suffering basic necessities?
But that is a rant for another time. To answer your reply, I do call out Bernie supporters when I see this also.
