...giving Obama a small uptick to 65.7%. I think what Nate meant was that he could only update the statistics, not his commentary.

Keep in mind that those twenty polls (except for half of one day in Ipsos) would all be taken pre-debate. The only poll we've seen to incorporate a full day of post-debate polling was the Rand tracker, which showed Obama's lead increasing to 5.7%.

There should be movement.

As noted earlier, a pre-debate Ohio poll from SurveyUSA showed Mitt losing 2 points, expanding the President's margin to 3 points.

I know a lot of us are excited about what the President did in the last debate but please don't have huge expectations for the new round of polls coming out.

my prediction: little to no change and lots people here feeling let down.

we still control this thing, DONT LET THE MEDIA MANIPULATE OUR THOUGHTS AND EXCITEMENT FOR GETTING THE PRESIDENT RE-ELECTED. Dont fall into that trap.

...I don't buy that. I don't expect a huge shift, but the notion that there will be no change is absurd.

I mean, why wouldn't there be? If there was a huge change on "style," why wouldn't there be a huge change on style and subtance?

Mitt got beat the F down, humiliated and is being exposed for some serious lying. Including his stories on women.

Another Romney's myth. According to the BG, women's share among senior adm. officials declined

I think there will be a small uptick for the President.

Most important, though, to keep in mind now is that every day that passes with the President in the lead, no matter the size, is a day that Romney has lost to catch up (especially in the swing states). Time is the President's friend and Romney's enemy.

I think a lot of people reacted very irrationally to the debates. It's not the Superbowl or American Idol, but the opinion of a thick chunk of the population (who probably should not be voting because they're so low-information) treat the performance as if it determines who should win. That's what's showing up in the poll swings.

And we retain control of the Senate, 52 to 48. This is according to RCP's No Toss Up average.

I know it couldn't be possible that some of Romney's huge supporters are squashing the polls or the media playing games with the American public and not mentioning them.

...and a Mitt Romney win.

We have to keep working.

I'm spending every weekend in VA. (I live in MD.) I was so thrilled to hear that a few of my friends from Richmond who are apolitical and out and working. That makes me so happy.
