"Just meeting people doesn't constitute campaigning," McNiff told CNN. "We received no information that anything like that happened." http://www.cnn.com/2016/03/01/politics/bill-clinton-campaigning-polling-place-super-tuesday/index.html
let this be repeated again to the "spokesman for the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts," with emphasis:
her husband was at a polling place with a bullhorn. the name "hillary" was mentioned no less than two times

(5,420 posts)You think he was just saying hi on that bullhorn? In a Bernie rich district? Keeping people from voting for two hours? It was purposeful attempt at manipulating the outcome of an election.
Laws apparently do not apply to the Clintons.

(13,776 posts)Before, I was pissed. And I'll be pissed again because he has no self-restraint and I'm sure he'll embarrass himself again.
(Let me just interrupt myself to say that I do not hold Hillary responsible for Bill's behavior.)
But a former president of the United States holding a bullhorn at a polling place, where he knows damn well (do not tell me Bill Clinton doesn't know politics inside and out) that it is not permissible to campaign, to try to convince people to vote a certain way... that's just pitiful.
How the mighty have fallen.

(18 posts)To those HRC supporters saying it's silly, any genuine reason or fact for why? Because I read the Mass. law in terms of violation in the voting place and it's even posted in the petition letter. And it's obvious he violated it. Guess what? that's considered a felony.

(42,714 posts)In terms of the letter of the law.
But my question back to you is why all of the outrage seems directed at one alleged violation, but not at the other?
beac
(9,992 posts)I think the outrage comes from the fact that not only did Clinton violate the law, but he held up the voting process for hours in doing so.
(Never mind that the influence of a former President with a bullhorn is infinitely higher than one unknown guy with a homemade sign.)
As to your point about the letter of the law, the sign was silent and could only be seen by those nearby. Clinton's bullhorn could be heard up and down the street. But both used the word "Hillary" and that's what made it a violation. Both were wrong and both should be held accountable. NO ONE is above the law.

I'm in the NW and said so but decried the undue influence Clinton exerted when he broke the law and seemed to get away with it. I hope others will send emails. Why should an elite like Clinton break the law and get away with it? It's more of the same and is just more corruption to the voting process.
