still recovering from the flu and had to watch the NV returns... only so many things I can do. But my friend was quite blunt that I had to watch this. So I did, and decided that this was something important to share.

And she approached the Sanders campaign first. Sanders people asked her how she wanted to plug into the campaign. She suggested making a video. They gave her total control over the video and put no conditions or pressure on her to produce a certain video.

Contrast with the Clinton campaign who contacted the mothers first.

In that town hall, Hillary called on all Americans to make a contribution to end racism. That's good. Now I want to hear what her contribution will be. I have some suggestions.

She could promise to stop the sale of military grade equipment to police departments.

She could promise to direct the Justice Department to charge police shooters with hate crimes.

She could promise to direct the Justice Department to bring charges on police officials, DA's, and elected leaders with violating the civil rights of the victims.

She could call on Rahm Emmanuel to resign and then prosecute him for covering up a police killing.

That's just a start. She then could promise to prosecute the financial industry for draining wealth out of the African American community, for predatory lending, and for denying home loans to persons of color.

She could promise to charge Rick Snyder for civil rights violations for poisoning the residents of Flint and for abandoning the children of Detroit by allowing Detroit's public schools to deteriorate.

How much of her own political capital is she willing to invest to fight racism? Is it limited to giving hugs and telling people you feel their pain?

As I mentioned in another thread, my granddaughters are biracial and live in an urban area where police have killed people of color. Yeah, I'm white, but this is personal. My granddaughters could be Sandra Bland. This stunt makes me livid.

calling attention to what they believe is important.

Hey mister, it was their loss at the hands of law enforcement and it was their choice to appear and be recognized.

As a white woman I often feel I can't legitimately comment on all sorts of things that involve black people, because I know I haven't a clue what it's like. But he expresses what I've felt, that when Hillary parades these women, she's simply pandering, trying to make it look as if she cares, when they are only props for her.

Thank you again.

"Posted without comment, mostly. This was shown to me by one of my local African American leaders on my FB feed." Or, "Posted without comment. Mostly, this was shown to me by one of my local African American leaders on my FB feed." Not so good either way.

Why not: "A local African American leader on my FB feed showed this to me." This is a comment. Just post the video with that title.
