2016 Postmortem

This may not mean anything, but today I drove through the parking lot at my place of work today looking for bumper stickers. I am employed by an aerospace company in the Houston area. I did not see a single one. I remember in past elections, most of the cars in the parking lot had Bush-Cheney bumper stickers. This time, zilch.
On the way home, I looked for political bumper stickers and saw none, except for a tattered Romney sticker on an XKE tha must have been put on during the Republican primary.
Texas is one of the reddest of the red states. No way Obama will carry Texas, but I detect little enthusiasm here for the Republican ticket.

(23,500 posts)My Obama stickers are 2008 leftovers too, come to think of it.
Think I'll leave it that way.
I like the 2008 Obama better than the 2012 version anyway.

(658 posts)I think due to the passionate (and often ridiculous) reactions on both sides of the partisan coin, most folks are just forgoing the signs and supporting in other ways (plus, I think bumper stickers are a tad passe) . I haven't seen one at all on any car. Granted, I'm not always paying attention to bumpers, but I despise Mittshit so much, if I saw a bumper sticker for him & and his creep VP candidate, I would definitely take notice. Of course, I live in CA, so...
