Amazing That The Narrative Is That Romney's Lies and Lack of Transparency Are Good!

This is what I find crazy. Romney was still very vague on his policy proposals, particularly what deductions would be cut to finance his huge tax cut. Yet, Romney simply offered platitudes about not giving tax cuts to the rich, which sounded somewhat moderate, which appear to directly contradict his proposal to CUT taxes by 20%. Likewise, Romney lied about pre-existing conditions, which lead to his campaign to issue a "clarification" to walk back his promise to cover pre-existing condictions.

Yet, these lies and contradictions are almost being universally praised! Seriously? Has everyone lost their mind when a politicians brazen dishonesty are celebrated and he is not held accountable? If President Obama did such an about face, the media would pile on and demand details and explanation. In Romney's case, it seems like the media is bending over backward in order to push the narrative that the race is tightening.

We knew that we would get to the point when the press would turn into a GOP talking point factory where Romney is no longer held accountable for his lies. Thus, at this point, it is incumbent on us to call out Romney on his myriad of lies. President Obama's campaign is running a series of great ads documenting Romney's lies, but we need to do our part to hold Romney accountable, since the media is now celebrating blatant dishonesty and lack of transparency as positive traits!

Also, the fact of the matter is that President Obama was calling BS on Romney's huge tax cut. Romney kept on insisting that his tax cut was cost free. So, where is the media to call out the truth?

I share your disgust with the media, but the fact is Obama had a lead going into the debate largely because his campaign had defined Romney, appropriately, as a corrupt, uncaring richy, not because the media had engaged in truth telling. When it came time for Obama to do the job in person, he flopped.
