My real disappointment is not with the President, but with the political pundits afterward...

While I do wish President Obama would have mentioned Romney's offshore bank accounts among other things and maybe have been a bit more aggressive, I don't think he delivered an overall bad perfomance. My disappointment is more with the post debate commentary on the major news networks. I don't feel what the talking heads were saying quite aligned with what I had just witnessed during the debate.

To act as though Romney hit a grand slam, in my opinion, was kind of exaggerated and jumping the gun. Did they watch the same debate I did? The one where Romney told lie after lie, backed away from the very things he's been campaigning on, and offered little substance and few details on how he'd actually accomplish anything he claims to want to do?

While I knew by the end of the debate that Romney may have come out with a SLIGHT edge, ONLY because people may not have been aware of all the lies he was tossing around, and how he was backtracking on even some of the very things he's been campaigning on, I was utterly surprised by the reaction of the political pundits. I thought surely they had witnessed the same thing I was seeing and would be quick to point out the lack of substance and sheer volume of lies Romney was spewing? But that's not what happened, and quite frankly, I was disappointed in that.

I know that in the following days, more and more of what Romney said will be debunked, but I hope the damage hasn't already been done by the media's initial reaction, acting as if Romney had just gotten up there and done something great. He did the same thing he always does? He stood there and sold the American people lies and distorted the President's policies, I for one wasn't too impressed.

I think he'll get an initial bump out of this, but nothing sustainable from just this debate alone.

The pundits and fake news people are the most sickening bunch of "me me s" on the planet.

I can not believe the standards of the pundits for winning a debate are 1. Don't stop talking, the hell with the rules of debate. Bully on.
2. Tell as many lies as possible about your opponent.
3. Say whatever you have to say even if it totally contradicts something you said loud and often.
4. Attack, even if what you are saying is a baldfaced lie.

A thoroughly disgusting performance by the pundits who get way to much money for what they do.

They actually believe we look to them to tell us what we just saw in that so called debate and they are quite easily taken in by appearances.

Sure Romney dominated the discussion but everything he said was bullshit. Instead of pointing that out, what I heard was admiration for how he took charge and condemnation for the President for failing to stand up to him. I do agree that Obama could have done more and frankly I wish he had but he didn't. But the real story was not Obama's passivity, it was Romney's loud and persistent lying.

I honestly think these pundits have a very low opinion of the American voter if they believe that most people are unable to see through the crap.

I thought Rmoney came out ahead just because he was more animated. But I found his twitchiness was annoying. I do wish Obama would have gone after some obvious one liners that I was shouting at my tv but he was cool and calm. The pundits, especially on MSNBC were terrible. They have to have someone who was awesome and someone who flopped for their narrative.

I didnt feel after it was over that Rmoney dominated like they said.

but it was a huge mistake. He tried to stay above the fray. Problem there is that Republicans like the fray, they create the fray and wallow in it.

Step up for progressives President Obama or face a move back home in a few months.

If you had you would've seen the real time reactions of independent voters. It was clear that Romney dominated.
